If you are passionate about helping others and interested in getting a hands-on foundation for a health care career, VHCC’s Nurse Aide program could be a great fit for you! The Nurse Aide class provides hands-on training in basic patient care skills. Students completing the course will be eligible to take the Virginia Board of Nursing’s exam to become a licensed Nurse Aide.
Program Length: 11 weeks
Career Opportunities: The demand for certified nurse aides (CNA) is higher than ever. CNAs can find employment in geriatric nursing, home health, long and short-term care facilities, doctors' offices, rehabilitation facilities, private duty nursing, and other health areas.

Course Fee: $2,445 for an out-of-state student, $815 for a Virginia resident, and $81.50 for a student who qualifies for financial assistance.
Upcoming Start Dates: The course typically meets two nights per week from 6-9:30 p.m., with clinicals scheduled on the weekends. Please call for the next available start date.
